For those who are wondering why one should Unlock Bootloader On Huawei Devices, it allows a to install custom ROM, recovery, kernel, boot, and perform various such customised activities. There are many smartphone manufacturers who do not allow their s to do it but luckily Huawei s can enjoy this feature. Other than Huawei, companies like Sony, Motorola allow unlocking bootloader, and the process is similar to how Huawei s do it safely.

Prerequisites:

Steps To Enable Developer Option
First, go to Settings >> Developer options >>Enable USB-debugging. (Note: If you cannot find the Developer options, Go to Settings >> About phone and click on build number 7 times. Now you shall have Developer options available in the settings menu)
  • Now Enable OEM Unlocking
Steps To Enable OEM Unlock
On your phone go to Settings > Developer options. Then enable the ‘OEM Unlocking’ option.
  • Backup all your data from your device (As all your data will be wiped while unlocking the bootloader)

  • Make sure your device has 60%+ battery left

Step To Unlock Bootloader on Huawei Devices

Step 1. / on  Huawei unlock website. Go to s section & select unlock bootloader.Agree to the and condition and click  Next button. (read carefully)

Step 2. There will be a form which you have to fill up with your device information then click submit.(see the image below)

Step 3.If all the information is correct, you’ll get a unique 16-digit bootloader unlock for your device.

Step 4.Now connect your Huawei device to the PC with a USB cable.(Give it required permission)

Step 5.Then boot your Huawei device into bootloader mode issuing the following command:

adb reboot bootloader
└ If your device doesn’t boot into bootloader mode, then disable Fastboot function from your device’s Settings.

Step 6.Once your device is in bootloader mode, issue the following command to unlock bootloader:

fastboot oem unlock your-unlock-
└ Replace the Unlock Code with the Red text

Step 7.This will start the bootloader unlocking process automatically.Once the process is finished, your device will reboot.Done!!!

You have successfully unlocked the Bootloader On Your Huawei Device.

 

It is also important to note that unlocking the bootloader will make your warranty void and hence, you should try it out after the warranty expires.
