Mi 8 Lite device. The new MIUI 10 brings improved performance, new notification style, new recent menu, Image search, smart assistant and more. The OTA update is rolling out to the Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite devices in batches. So, it will take some time to receive globally. However, you can and install MIUI 10.2.2.0 Global Stable ROM on Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite manually.

MIUI 10.2.1.0 Global Stable ROM on Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite

The new update build number is MIUI 10.2.2.0 PECMIXM and MIUI 10.2.2.0 ODTMIXM and is rolling out via OTA update and runs on Recovery ROM from below.

How to Install MIUI 10.2.2.0 Global Stable ROM on Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite

You can check the guide given below to install the MIUI 10 ROM (Global + China) on Any Xiaomi device properly.

Important: Make sure that for this recovery ROM, you only need to follow Method 1 (Recovery ROM).

Method 1: (Recovery ROM Only)

  1. the Recovery ROM file from the above link.
  2. Save the ed firmware file into internal storage of your Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite.
  3. Open the Updater app directly or go from the System Update (three dots menu from upper right corner).
  4. Tap on the menu icon, the three dots at the top right corner and select “Choose Update Package”.
  5. Select the ed ROM file from the internal storage.
  6. Now proceed to update and wait for the complete installation process.
  7. Your device will Reboot into the new system.
  8. Enjoy!

Method 2: (Fastboot ROM Only)

  1. Enable Developer Options.
  2. the latest Mi Flash Tool and install it on your PC/Laptop.
  3. Switch off your device and boot into fastboot mode (Press and hold the Power button + Volume Down button simultaneously).
  4. Now connect your device to PC via USB cable.
  5. Extract the Fastboot ROM file into a folder path on your PC.
  6. Open the Mi Flash Tool on your PC. Then copy the extracted file path and paste in on the address bar of Mi flash tool.
  7. Click on the refresh button to recognize your device automatically (Fastboot device).
  8. If Fastboot device added, you will see a device id.
  9. Now click on the flash button to start the flashing process.
  10. Your device will reboot automatically when the flashing process is completed.
  11. Wait for the few minutes to boot completely into the new system.
  12. Hola! You’re done. 😀
